About CatholicCare NT and the Program

CatholicCare NT is a Catholic social service agency established in the Diocese of Darwin. We provide services throughout the NT, including service centres in Darwin, Palmerston, Malak, Tiwi Islands, Daly River, Wadeye, Jabiru, Maningrida, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Santa Teresa, Titjikala, Finke and APY lands.

The Community Development Program (CDP) provides case management support to address the needs of Aboriginal people who are unemployed to provide opportunities that lead to positive social and economic outcomes for families and their community. By creating employment opportunities in partnership with the local community, job seekers gain useful employability skills and meaningful qualifications through attendance in activities which increase job opportunities.

About the Role

The Activities to Employment Worker is responsible to ensure to deliver and initiate community projects, maintain yards, collect firewood for elderly and engaging with minor repairs, building maintenance, fencing, gardening, welding and other general labourer’s work. This position has a particular focus on providing mentoring, coaching and support all activity participants, work closely with community members, community stakeholders in order to deliver and initiate community projects and to assist to set up community events and comply with and work according to the Community Development Program Funding Agreement.
