Cert 111 Early Childhood Education and Care service 

As an Educator, you are expected to be an active team member of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.

This includes:

  • Developing strong relationships with children at the service;
  • Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the Aboriginal community;
  • Implementing the policies and procedures of Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre at all times; and
  • Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations.

Qualified Educator, you are expected to lead your team providing high quality early childhood education and care and also be an active team member as described above for the Cert 1111

General Responsibilities

  • To work towards the requirements of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care 2012;
  • Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics of Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre. Implementing the service’s philosophy in undertaking all other duties;
  • Working in accordance with the policies and associated procedures of the organisation; and
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to the other staff in all areas of service operation.

  • working as part of a team, participating in discussions and meetings, and following directions and instructions

  • recording using written documents
  • setting up and providing experiences for children aged 5 - 12 years
  • understanding and implementing national guidelines such as Standards, Regulations and Frameworks

Qualifications and experience required with positions, also Working with Children Card, National Police Clearance, Health Clearance and a valid driver's licence.
