Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Children's Services
- OR
- Certificate 3 in Children's Services
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Approved Emergency Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training Certificates
- Current Working with Children Report
- At least 1 - 3 years experience within an early childhood education setting
- Sound Knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislative polices, standards and requirements
- Knowledge of childcare system platforms such as Story Park or OWNA would be advantageous
- Competent Programming Skills are required
Expected Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow the directions of your room leader
- Provide adequate supervision for children and work towards supporting your fellow educators in achieving same
- Assist all staff in meeting the needs, supervision, health and safety of all children
- Act as a positive role model demonstrating appropriate behaviour and discipline
- Ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the Centre for children, for families and for your fellow educators
- Practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF AND EYLF
- Assist in the collection, recording and evaluation of children's records through observations as required by the DOE and NQS
- A good understanding and awareness of the cultural needs of families
- General cleaning duties during operating hours
