BOOKINGS COORDINATOR, TRAINEE

Have you thought about working in hospitality or Events Management as a Bookings Coordinator, but you don’t have the right experience or qualifications? This role might be perfect for you. We are looking for someone to work as a Bookings Coordinator Trainee in the reception area at Swan Valley Adventure Centre while studying for a Certificate III in Events Management at the same time. You’ll be learning mostly on the job. The employer will pay for your training and your wages. You will assist with bookings and enquiries. You will ensure clients have an enjoyable guest experience and you will undertake general administrative tasks as required. It is a 12-month contract on a full-time basis.

ABOUT SWAN VALLEY ADVENTURE CENTRE

Swan Valley Adventure Centre is located within the Perth metropolitan area, on a unique 89 acres of stunning Swan Valley wilderness. There are 6 camp houses accommodating up to 260 guests. The adventure centre features over 20 outdoor activities promoting educational outcomes, teamwork and enjoyment for all. All activities are linked to the Australian curriculum.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the administration team, you will be the first point of contact for enquiries and bookings. You’ll also take guests and prospective clients on tours of the site. You’ll have a full understanding of the booking process and will produce documentation through the booking software with particular attention to detail.

You need the following qualities to be successful in the role

  • Exceptional degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task while keeping a positive and friendly demeanor
  • A team player

The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Certificate and a Working with Children Check. As Swan Valley Adventure Centre is an entity of the Anglican Diocese of Perth, the Bookings Coordinator Trainee should be supportive of the Anglican Church and its values.
