About us
Our beautiful Education and Care Service is located in Shellharbour and is overseen by a Shellharbour Community Church Management Committee and an experienced Early Childhood Teacher Director. Our service operates from 7.00 am - 6:00pm catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and up to 66 children per day. Check out our website sproutsshellharbour.com for more information.
Qualifications & experience
We are looking for two educators;
1.
Certificate lll Educator
- An Approved Certificate lll in Education and Care.
- .NSW Working With Children Check
- Availability to work Monday to Friday.
- A commitment to supporting nature based pedagogy and a risk based approach to play
- A collaborative team approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presentation
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning
2.
Trainee - 18 years old.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday.
- A passion and love for children.
- A commitment to providing Excellent Education and Care for children.
- A collaborative team approach
- Professional presentation
- Hard working, Reliable and Strong Work Ethic.
- A commitment to our local Community.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Qualified Educator.
- Able to be assertive and show initiative but also act on guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations
- Plan and implement a high quality early childhood curriculum and have an excellent understanding of intentional teaching and teaching abilities to engage children in age appropriate activities and experiences.
- Able to effectively communicate with children, families, other staff and Sprouts Management. Working well in a team and able to critically reflect and implement changes to improve.
- Passionate and an advocate for play based learning, nature exploration and sustainability.
2. Traineeship
- Work according to organisational standards and expectations
- Engage with children and provide age appropriate activities and experiences.
- Able to effectively communicate with children, families, other staff and Sprouts Management.
- Working well in a team and able to critically reflect and implement changes to improve.
- Passionate about children and learning about Education and Care.
- End of day tasks.
