Certificate lll Educator and Traineeship

About us

Our beautiful Education and Care Service is located in Shellharbour and is overseen by a Shellharbour Community Church Management Committee and an experienced Early Childhood Teacher Director. Our service operates from 7.00 am - 6:00pm catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and up to 66 children per day. Check out our website sproutsshellharbour.com for more information.

Qualifications & experience

We are looking for two educators; 

1.

Certificate lll Educator

• An Approved Certificate lll in Education and Care. 
• .NSW Working With Children Check
• Availability to work Monday to Friday.
• A commitment to supporting nature based pedagogy and a risk based approach to play
• A collaborative team approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presentation
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning

2. 

Trainee - 18 years old. 

• Availability to work Monday to Friday.
• A passion and love for children. 
• A commitment to providing Excellent Education and Care for children. 
• A collaborative team approach
• Professional presentation
• Hard working, Reliable and Strong Work Ethic. 
• A commitment to our local Community. 

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Qualified Educator.

• Able to be assertive and show initiative but also act on guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations
• Plan and implement a high quality early childhood curriculum and have an excellent understanding of intentional teaching and teaching abilities to engage children in age appropriate activities and experiences.
• Able to effectively communicate with children, families, other staff and Sprouts Management. Working well in a team and able to critically reflect and implement changes to improve.
• Passionate and an advocate for play based learning, nature exploration and sustainability.

2. Traineeship

• Work according to organisational standards and expectations
•  Engage with children and provide age appropriate activities and experiences.
• Able to effectively communicate with children, families, other staff and Sprouts Management. 
• Working well in a team and able to critically reflect and implement changes to improve.
• Passionate about children and learning about Education and Care.
• End of day tasks.
