The Channel Analyst is a key member of the Channel Strategy team. This role is responsible for high level business analysis and model building in the progression of new business initiatives and business improvement programs in optimising portfolio revenues and profitability. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

What you'll do

  • Support new business development initiatives (new and business improvements) via the provision of financial modelling and analytical support
  • Evaluating retail performance of new retail outlets vs. projections and retail network.
  • Maintain a central database of new business concepts and their status
  • Maintain a central repository of national and international industry benchmarks
  • Provide analytical support for the annual strategic and operational planning process. Modelling impacts of micro & arco economic factors on channel performance in retail network.
  • Support the Channel team's budgeting process with inputs and estimates on the costs and benefits associated with business development activities
  • Provide product and distribution channel analysis by extracting and analysing data from the Lotteries data warehouse
  • Implementation in developing strategic products, distribution channels or other business improvement initiatives to support the operating unit's goals
  • Analyse industry trends and recommend adjustments to address and/or capitalise on trends
  • Identify inefficient processes and procedures
  • Works closely with business partners to identify and maximise opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or business processes.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years related finance and business analysis
  • Strong level of personal organization
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively and to direct staff
  • Ability to work across organisation, build partnerships and foster a collaborative work environment.
