Our vibrant, vegetarian Inner West cafe is looking for an experinced Chef/cook to join our team!

You will be provided with training on our menu and systems, and welcomed warmly into our small team of chefs!
This role is primarily focused on food preparation and cooking, and includes stock management and rotation, some basic ordering, opening and closing the kitchen, and cleaning and maintaining equipment in your area. The role includes communicating with other chefs and kitchen hands, overseeing the smooth running and success of the kitchen during your shift, and performing all duties to a high standard.
To be successful in this role you will need to display the following traits/experience-
. Efficient at both food service and prep
. Beautiful plating skills
. Strong attention to food safety and hyginie
. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
. Experience in a fast-paced cafe or resturant environment
. Passion for food and service.
. Experience with plant-based dining is a plus.
30-35 hours per week.
Both weekend days required.
Set days and hours each week, but with a good mix of starting/finishing times to allow for better work/life balance.
Shifts are -
Monday 10-2
Thursday 6.30-3.30
Friday 10-3.30
Saturday 6.30-3.30
Sunday 8.30-3.30
We are located in the heart of the Inner West, on the border of Petersham and Marrickville, close to bus and train stops, with lots of free all day parking available.
