Located on the waterfront at Woodwark in the Whitsundays, our restaurant houses an amazing wine list and the largest selection of craft beers on tap.
Our venue consists of brasserie restaurant dining, an outdoor beachside smokehouse, and 2x bars with an overall capacity of 750 seats. It is one of the most popular venues to visit for our local, national, and international guests.
We are seeking a range of Chef's to join our experienced kitchen team.
As a Chef, you will:
⭐️ Have an opportunity to utilise your management and organisational skills.
⭐️ Bring a high level of kitchen management skills to help lead, develop and recruit for the team.
⭐️ Assist the Executive Chef and Restaurant Team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, stock ordering, including menu development - weekly specials included, incorporating seasonal fresh local produce.
⭐️ Develop weekly rosters; continually monitor staff wages and food costs.
⭐️ Have a passion for creating delicious, expertly prepared, cooked, and presented food.
⭐️ Keep an organised kitchen and uphold a food safety program to assist in maintaining the kitchen, food, and hygiene standards.
⭐️ Can demonstrate and advise with food preparation techniques and cooking procedures.
⭐️ Demonstrate the ability to preserve, freeze and store foods safely.
⭐️Assist in motivating and supervising while ensuring quality and consistency in working towards establishing the venue as an industry leader.
Applicants must:
⭐️ Hold a qualification of an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level2)
⭐️ or at least three years of relevant experience in the same role.
⭐ Demonstrate motivation, commitment, and attention to detail
⭐ Effective communication skills with a growth mindset to continually learn and improve.
⭐️ Thrive in a high-volume and high-pressure environment.

Salary can range between $70,000 - $85,999, depending on the approved applicant.
