Chemist / Laboratory Technician

Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of chemicals and scientific products. They employ thousands of people in R&D facilities across the globe and are committed to developing innovations that will make a difference to our world. They are currently seeking a Chemist / Laboratory Technician for a long-term casual role working in their manufacturing facility based in North West Sydney.
Duties include:

• Assisting in the development of a new polyurethane product
• Working with the production team and coordinating operators
• Conducting routing laboratory tests
• Preparation and presentation of results
• Compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent.
• Industry experience in polymers (highly regarded).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• The ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-driven.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
