Reporting to the Supervising Chemist, you will perform technical tasks and chemical analyses on a variety of specimens in line with laboratory practices, standard operating procedures and accreditation requirements. Actively participating in activities of a multi-speciality team, you will also:Exercise high-level decision-making skills to solve more complex chemical problems under limited supervision
Receive and manage items and specimens associated with Queensland Police Service, Coroners Court of Queensland and other investigations
Attend crime scenes or scenes of chemical incidents and generally take part in field work
Assist team members in relation to technical matters by providing support
Attend Court if required and furnish evidence regarding technical mattersThe successful person
You will demonstrate:A relevant degree in the field of Science with a major emphasis in Chemistry
