Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading the strategic direction, planning, decision making and overall performance of the People Strategies, Legal Services, Financial and Procurement Services, Governance and Secretariat and Corporate Services sections to ensure corporate services and support align to Agency needs and priorities
- Providing APS wide strategic leadership of the highest quality that contributes to an effective and cohesive APS
- Influencing outcomes and providing high quality and strategic advice on Agency wide and corporate related issues to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Group
- Leading a results focused corporate area, solving complex issues, delivering strategic priorities and initiatives, and driving innovation and change
- Positioning the Agency to respond to current priorities and future challenges through initiatives such as digital transformation and workforce redesign
- Building trusted relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver on Agency priorities and meet government commitments
- Leading the implementation and/or review of governance arrangements, meeting legislated requirements with consideration to the size and risk profile of the Agency, and
- Being the Agency's Chief Security Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Governance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer and having oversight of the functions within these roles.
In addition to the above, the role will conduct a review of the Agency's corporate area to evaluate structure, workforce and technology requirements, recognise opportunities for efficiencies and capability growth, and identify emerging trends and ways to ensure the Agency's future sustainability.
