Who You'll Work With

As the Chief Enterprise Architect you will report to the Global Head of Engineering and will be leading the definition and maintenance of a holistic Enterprise Architecture roadmap and its alignment with the business strategy, enabling business innovation, high user satisfaction and operational excellence. In this newly introduced role you will be responsible for implementing and leading a firm-wide Enterprise Architecture function which will own the Enterprise Architecture (standards, strategy, roadmap). This includes setting architectural standards to be utilized with our clients, linking IT and services to business objectives, driving technical and architectural decisions, and planning the use of Enterprise Architectural resources across the firm. As the Chief Enterprise Architect you will represent Enterprise Architecture in executive and strategic business meetings, main external relations, and prepare important strategic tradeoff-decisions for senior leadership.  

As part of the global leadership team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across product, architecture, design, and operations teams to drive a modern, state-of-the-art architectural process and discipline. You must have the EQ and business acumen to navigate a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders. Furthermore, you must have experience in developing holistic, business-aligned Enterprise Architectures enabling the scaling of technology platforms, establishing effective technology standardization and governance in federated organizational structures, and creating and leading a highly technical, responsive, and solution-oriented team. 

What You'll Do

In this role you will be responsible for the definition and maintenance of a holistic Enterprise Architecture roadmap and its alignment with the business strategy, enabling business innovation, high user satisfaction and operational excellence. You will define and implement best-in-class Enterprise Architecture capabilities and governance across the firm and plan the use of Enterprise Architectural resources. You will play a lead role in technology standardization, reducing technical debt and shaping and adopting the technology stacks and platforms while enabling high-velocity business innovation, economies of scale and compliance. 

Your specific areas of responsibility will also include: building an effective EA capability for the firm; advising stakeholders on technology implications (feasibility, costs) of business decisions; guiding investment decisions with business capability models and mapping; aligning technology/architecture roadmap with business outcomes; guiding execution of digital change initiatives. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field required; master's degree preferred; focus in computer science preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in leading large-scale technology architecture and/or software engineering – transformational leader with proven architecture/engineering track record in modern tech stacks and agile frameworks  
  • 5+ years in leading a large-scale Enterprise Architecture function
  • A track record of having “institutionalized” a modern Enterprise Architecture model in highly agile and distributed environments and with a data science capability that has led to a set of “production” use cases for machine learning, and other artificial intelligence technologies, which have had a meaningful impact on core business operations and outcomes 
  • Master of EA frameworks (i.e. TOGAF, Zachman Framework) 
  • Expertise in leading digital transformation and automation, customer and colleague experience, and enterprise technology transformation initiatives
  • Seasoned people leader with outstanding ability to inspire and lead high-performing agile teams and foster diverse and inclusive global teams
  • Expertise in leading the development of enterprise-wide systems that are highly scalable, performant, reliable, and secure in global environments
  • Experience in public cloud products, cloud-native architectures, API management, Microservices, event driven architectures and integrations with SaaS/ERP systems
