Job description

  • Shape the Future of Community Infrastructure
  • Drive Major Initiatives and Enhance Service Delivery
  • Lead and Engage

The Snowy Monaro region is a unique and culturally diverse region of south-east NSW. From our history of the Snowy Hydro Scheme, our proud agricultural industry and popular ski resorts, we are a region that has a lot to offer. With fantastic lifestyle choices, whether you are an adventure seeker or prefer the finer things in life, we really can offer it all, within close proximity to our nation's capital Canberra. The Snowy Mountains region is packed with year-round experiences. Explore the famous Snowy River, and go skiing or snowboarding on the slopes of Perisher and Thredbo - or camp at some of the most picturesque campgrounds in NSW.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council employs around 450 staff and working with us will give you the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful surrounds, progress your career and make a difference in our local community.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief of Infrastructure and Projects will be pivotal in the strategic management of the Council's Infrastructure and project delivery. In this role, you will advise and inform the executive team to support service delivery across these functions, leveraging your advanced communication skills and demonstrated ability to engage and relate to people at all levels. Your ability to work collaboratively and build strategic stakeholder relations will be key to achieving positive outcomes.

You will lead, mentor, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within your team. Educating and guiding employees about their WHS responsibilities to maintain a safe workplace is also critical.

The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and have demonstrated contemporary experience in senior executive roles, underscoring your capability to manage complex Infrastructure and project portfolios effectively and efficiently.
