About the role:
- Effectively supervise kitchen stewards during rostered shifts with a hand-on approach.
- Undertake deep cleaning of kitchens and ensuring all checklists and tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Completion of rosters in line with modern award and work right restrictions.
- Train team members ensuring they maintain a professional manner and up to date with banquet events and the requirements of the kitchen.
- Ensure hygiene and WHS requirements are adhered to in line with correct processes.
- Work safely with chemicals to assist with the cleaning process.
About you:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in a kitchen environment or stewarding department.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Kitchen Equipment, Chemical Handling, Food Safety, HACCP and WHS requirements.
- Good presentation, communication skills and a fluency in English.
- Excellent grooming and personal presentation
- Proven written and oral communication skills and sound computer literacy
- Able to work a 7-day roster including morning and evening shifts, public holidays and weekends.
