Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Start-Up Environment

Company Overview: We are working with a dynamic start-up partnered with an industry leader in the shipping and marine space who are building an exciting, industry disrupting product, set to revolutionize their field. We are in search of a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead the development efforts and rapidly transition into a strategic leadership role.

Role Summary: The CTO will initially dive into hands-on development to set the technical foundation of the project. The role will quickly evolve to focus on building and managing a robust tech team, aligning with the growth and scaling objectives. This position is critical in shaping the technological future and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the technical vision and strategy of the company.
• Start hands-on with active development, including coding and setting up initial technical architectures using our stack: ReactJS, TypeScript, Flutter, Python, FastAPI, and AWS.
• Transition from direct development to leadership, recruiting and managing a tech team tailored to the company's needs.
• Oversee all technological developments, ensuring integration with our client’s objectives and business goals.
• Manage technology budgets and time frames.
• Stay on-top of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
• Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven track record as a CTO or similar leadership role in a technology environment, preferably in start-ups.
• Strong technical background with experience in ReactJS, TypeScript, Flutter, Python, FastAPI, and AWS.
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Excellent team building and leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, with a knack for innovative thinking and problem-solving.
