Immrama facilitates individual, family and group-based counselling that is both trauma informed and trauma specific. These services aim to support children, young people, families and adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, violent crimes, and all other forms of trauma. Immrama assists clients in overcoming painful or traumatic experiences and promotes healing and recovery through a holistic range of interventions and practices.
Immrama has been developed in partnership as a way to stay connected to likeminded therapist and reduce the isolation of working in a sole private practice.
Each practitioner will have their own ABN registered as an Individual sole traders. Each practitioner will be responsible for the day to day carrying out of their own private practices including but not limited to; invoicing, procedures, policies and consent forms, electronic filing systems, setting up appointments, managing their allocated cases, ensuring they have professional and personal indemnity insurance etc. Therapist will sublet rooms from Immrama.
Practitioners who work under the collective group practice space Immrama will be responsible for ensuring they work from Immrama’s Trauma Specific Practice Framework.
There are opportunities for working collaborative across families, share cases, and group work programs. We encourage creative endeavours and welcome new ideas for programs.
Essential Criteria
1. Have relevant post graduate diploma or degree related to social work, counselling, or psychology.
2. Must have minimum 3 years experience working as a counsellor/therapist with children, young people, families or adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect.
3. Registered with relevant professional body (AASW, APA, ACA, or PACFA).
4. Eligible for registration as an approved Victim Services Counsellor or Mental Health Therapist (medicare)
5. Registered as an individual sole trader with ABN. (Or willing to)
