About the role:
Education and Care Services is responsible for the delivery of professional, high quality Child Care services and educational programs in the Campbelltown local government area. We provide care to children aged 0-12 years and operate according to Early Childhood Education and Care National Regulations and the National Quality Standards and Framework.
We are currently seeking two permanent part time Child Care Cooks who will:
- Prepare and review seasonal menus
- Plan, order and prepare nutritional meals for children in care daily including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dessert and snacks
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment including stock management and storing
- Ability to work within budget and research competitive products and seasonal changes
- Ability to work with a range of dietary requirements and cultural requirements within our services
- Ability to work autonomously with good time management skills
- Ensure food safety standards are met.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Knowledge of nutritional requirements for children 0-12 years
- Knowledge of hygienic cooking practices
- Knowledge of dietary, nutritional, cultural requirements of children including allergies and food intolerances
- Ability to work as a cooperative team member
- Time management skills and the ability to organise work effectively
- Commitment to a customer focused service
- Relevant work experience
- Available to work Monday - Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm. Will consider job share arrangements for two candidates to fill a position.
