We are an innovative, family owned, early learning centre located in the heart of Mount Isa. We have embarked on our journey of adventure to provide inspiration, wonder, and delight for all our little friends.
We are looking for a qualified & experienced cook to join our team - our little people need feeding and you will be integral in satiating their hunger on a daily basis.
Your skills and qualifications should include:
- Holding relevant food handling certificates;
- Experience and passion for creating healthy children's meals;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- A bright and friendly personality;
- Cert III in Children Services qualification preferred (but not essential);
- Experience working as a childcare cook is preferred (but not essential)
- Must be able to work on your own in the kitchen.
Your key priorities will be to:
- Plan nutritionally balanced meals consisting of five-food groups over the course of the day;
- Preparation of meals, including but not limited to: morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack;
- Periodically and seasonally review menu plans and submit to the Centre Manager for approval;
- Create menus on a 4 week rotation and display in an appropriate location within the centre;
- Ensure complete familiarity with special dietary needs of children within the centre;
- Maintain a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
