South Coast Baptist College is seeking a dedicated Diploma QualifiedChildcare Educator to join our vibrant Child Care Centre. You will play a pivotal role in providing education and care for children, consistent with our Christian beliefs and the National Quality Framework. Your role will involve supporting the Senior Educator, Teachers, and Curriculum Leaders in delivering high-quality educational programs and fostering a nurturing environment for children and families.
Position Requirements:
- Ensure inclusive care for all children.
- Exemplify positive behavior as a role model.
- Provide adequate supervision and support colleagues.
- Implement 'Service' goals and uphold the philosophy.
- Facilitate communication with families and involve them in service events.
- Maintain confidentiality and assist with daily communication tools.
- Follow Room Curriculum Leader's guidance and promote high care standards.
- Participate in professional development, adhere to ethical standards, and maintain required certifications.
Clearances/Certificates/Licenses:
- ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
- HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.
Essential Criteria:
- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
- Work to ensure personal best practice.
- Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
- Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Working With Children Card.
