- Salary commencing at $75,727.29 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation (commensurate with experience)

The Opportunity
The opportunity will see you providing excellent customer service to library users in accordance with Council policies, procedures and standards. You will be responsible for developing library services and ensuring the programs delivered for children are planned and prepared and of a high quality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver early literacy programming for babies, toddlers and pre-school children in the library and in outreach settings
- Work collaboratively with local schools, kindergartens, childcare centres, youth organisations to maximise reach and impact of library services in the community
- Supervise the work of library staff involved in children’s services and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports
- Provide a proactive and customer-focused approach to library service delivery
- Undertake customer service duties as required, including working at different
- A tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership (librarian) of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- Experience working in public libraries and developing programs children and/or young adults
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong customer service focus
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff and work well as part of a team
