Children's Head Soccer Coaches, FULL-TIME & CASUAL

Little Big Sport runs fun junior soccer programs at kindergartens, childcare centres and schools throughout the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, with over 2500 weekly participants between the ages of 2.5-12 years old.

We are fully established on the Gold Coast & Northern Rivers, boasting to be the biggest private soccer coaching provider in the region. 

Little Big Sport's mission is to provide all young children the opportunities to enjoy sport and develop a positive attitude to a healthy lifestyle in a fun, safe environment. 

We require enthusiastic coaches who have a passion for sport and working with children to join our team. We have both full-time and casual positions available. The job details, salary and hours are outlined in the 2 positions below.

- Head Coach - 

The successful candidate will be responsible for running & coordinating our soccer programs for 2.5-5 year olds at kindergartens and childcare centres, and for 2.5-12 year olds at our after school & weekend venues. Driving is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential. 

This position is perfect for someone with a soccer coaching background and experience & passion for working with children.

The successful candidate would communicate with coaches and head office and be responsible for:

• Organising session plans, equipment and coach schedules
• Running weekly coaching programs at childcare centres and kindergartens (2.5-5 year olds)
• Running programs alongside other coaches for our after school & weekend programs (2.5-12 year olds)
• Training new coaches
• Distributing Little Big Sport merchandise to players
• Marketing and administration work as required

$45-55K + super + bonus potential. Salary is based on qualifications and experience.

Full time position is for 38 hours per week.

Part time is also a possibility which would be 30-35 hours a week. Salary would be relative to hours confirmed in contract.

Initial and ongoing training of our Little Big Sport programs, as well as all the equipment and uniforms are provided.

• Experience coaching soccer to 2.5 - 6 year old children (minimum 4 years experience with this younger age group)
• Soccer coaching qualification
• Working with children check
• First Aid certificate
• Experience in session planning and ability to train other coaches
• Own reliable transport (or ability to drive our company vehicle which is a manual)
• Excellent communicator, friendly, positive and approachable
• Enthusiastic
• Ability to use initiative & work independently
• Must be available 8:30-5pm Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings until midday

The following criteria are desirable:

• Management experience

This position requires a dedicated individual who can be committed to part-time or full-time hours.

- Children's lead soccer coach - 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Lead Coach to join our Little Big Sport team. The successful candidate will run our soccer programs for 2.5-5 year olds at kindergartens and childcare centres, and for 2.5-12 year olds at our after school & weekend venues. Driving is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential. 

This position is perfect for someone with a sporting background and experience working with children. Also suits uni students & those with another job who want to fill their mornings or afternoons. For the right applicant there is the possibility of a full time or part time position with additional roles, after a probationary period.

The successful candidate would communicate with our head office and be responsible for:

• Following our session plans and running weekly coaching programs at childcare centres and kindergartens (2.5-5 year olds)
• Running programs alongside other coaches for our after school & weekend programs (2.5-12 year olds)
• Distributing Little Big Sport merchandise to players

$27-$35 per hour + super + bonus potential.

Schedule of work is mostly mornings between 9am & 12pm, Mon-Fri, with some afternoon work and Saturday morning work. Up to 30 hours are available, depending on the applicant's availability. 

Can work around other work and Uni commitments, but would need to be able to commit to the schedule once fixed.

• Min 2 years experience working with young children (2.5-5 year olds)
• Working with children check, or willing to obtain
• Enthusiastic & approachable
• Own reliable transport
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to use initiative & work independently

The following criteria are desirable:

• Sports coaching qualification

• First Aid certificate, or willing to obtain.
