Mangoola Coal is a modern open cut coal operation within Glencore Coal Assets Australia, located approximately 20 kilometres west of Muswellbrook and 10 kilometres north of Denman in the scenic wine growing and tourism region of the Hunter Valley. Mangoola Coal is proud to support of the local community and has received multiple awards and industry recognition for environmental excellence and safety.
The site produces 10mtpa of export coal with extensive coal reserves to support a long mine life. The mine operates a fleet of large mining equipment including Liebherr excavators 996B/9400/9250, Caterpillar 793D and 789C rear dump trucks and Caterpillar ancillary equipment. With the latest proven technology, a sound resource and a growing dynamic team culture, Mangoola Coal is an industry leading operation.
We are looking for a highly motivated and influential CHPP Production Supervisor to join our safety and result-driven team. These positions are permanent full time, working an even time roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provide supervision and guidance in the safe execution of CHPP operations, including the clean coal stockpile dozer reclaim, train loading, inspection, repair and maintenance activities in accordance with Legislative requirements and in alignment with the Mangoola Health and Safety Management System.
- Actively participate in the support of asset management processes, including but not limited to planned shutdown isolation and task management, operational defect reporting as well as preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Control costs at the point of execution, consistent with operational budgets.
- Lead by example in providing visible, credible direction and mentoring to deliver safety and production outcomes as planned.
- Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values.
- Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and
- Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
About you:
- You have experience in fixed plant maintenance and mining management maintenance systems, policies, and procedures.
- You have experience in people leadership of personnel in frontline roles.
- You can demonstrate sound literacy in Excel, Word and other associated Microsoft packages.
- You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
- You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
- You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
