With our continued growth, Guma-Warnii is currently undertaking multiple projects for Rio Tinto across the mining and construction sectors.The Initial Project:
We are seeking a suitably qualified Civil Earthworks Supervisorto oversee and ensure the success of Rio Tinto's Test Pitting The roster is 8/6, Days onlyFIFO ex Perth. This is a mine-site based role at Hope Downs 1.
Duties include:
- Oversee & coordinate earthworks activities;
- Digging test pits, sample collection following ground disturbance
- Storage and freight samples
- Clearing of drill pads
- Soil resistivity testing
- Heritage Fencing
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and environmental standards;
- Supervise & mentor onsite crews, providing guidance & support to achieve project objectives;
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track;
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements
- Manage equipment utilisation, maintenance, and repair schedules to optimise productivity;
- Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders as required;
- Other duties as required
- Must have at least 3 years' experience as a Civil Supervisor in the Mining & Civil Earthworks fields
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate & inspire teams
- Deep understanding of Earthworks techniques, equipment & materials
- Valid HR Driving licence
- 4WD Ticket
- Operating Tickets
- White Card
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Supervisory Training, Section 44 or 26 ticket (preferrable)
- Rio Tinto qualifications are an advantage
The salary for this role is $170,000 per annum (depending on experience) + 35% Site uplift on 38 hours. 11% Superannuation payable on top of each hour worked.
