Long-standing mid-tier engineering design consultancy, with over 100 years of combined engineering experience behind them. They have experienced unprecedented success in the Sydney and Newcastle markets and are growing as a result. They are investing heavily into their expanding Civil team and are looking to add to their existing team of 6 people in the Newcastle office. You would be the first Civil Engineer in this office and as such will have a high level of responsibility and career growth and development.

The Role

As part of their growth strategy, a key hire has been identified for a Civil Engineer with a strong focus on stormwater to get involved with a range of interesting and challenging projects, predominantly working on the civil works around buildings. You will be the go to person for the civil aspect of the project, so this is an excellent chance to build and strengthen your portfolio.

The Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of all design aspects of the project from concept to completion on time and to standards
• Undertaking regular interface and liaison with key clients and stakeholders
• Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes

• Minimum of 5 years’ Civil Engineering experience with a focus on stormwater design across a range of urban development or land development projects
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Working knowledge of 12D and DRAINS
• Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
• Good understanding of Service Authority design approval and construction standards
