PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible to Conduct tests of construction materials and prepares sketches and tabulations in support of civil engineers and Civil Engineering associates.
Job Responsibilities:
· prepare computations, sketches, charts and tabulations by using use computer-aided design (CAD) software to draft plans and create technical drawings.
· interprets work assignment instructions, applies appropriate procedures and selects equipment under the direction of civil engineers, engineering technologists and Engineering associates.
· conducts field tests of construction materials and soils
· surveying sites to gather data on land conditions, terrain, and existing structures for the design and construction of projects.

· prepare and maintain documentation related to projects, including technical reports, drawings, and construction records.
· assist in supervising construction activities to ensure that work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.

ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience. In the absence of formal qualifications, 3 years of work experience in similar position will suffice.
