capacity and has attracted more business opportunities in residential projects development. Due to the recent increase in construction projects, we are currently seeking a full-time experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team.
 

The Role

In applying engineering principles and technical specifications, this role will work closely with our clients and site team to ensure our projects are constructed in a safest and most cost-effective manner, from the initial planning and design phases through to the construction and maintenance. The successful applicant will be required to perform following the key duties and
tasks:

• Conduct site inspection to gather and analyse relevant data for the identification of project feasibility;  

• Support external Civil Engineers in drafting and designing construction projects with the assistance of CAD design software;
   
• Assist in preparing project proposals and documentation, including cost estimate, timelines and material requirements;

• Monitor the quality of construction process and conduct necessary onsite testing to ensure the strict compliance with design specifications and construction standards;

• Ensure all construction activities and Civil Engineering works are undertaken in line with regulatory standards, building codes and safety requirements;

• Collaborate with project teams to identify problems arising from on-site construction and develop corresponding solutions to avoid delays and extra costs;

• Ensure clear communication and efficient coordination among internal and external stakeholders;

• Assist with the inspection of completed projects for structural quality, compliance with specifications and codes, and overall safety;

• Keep abreast with new industry standards, emerging building technologies, and best practices in Civil Engineering and sustainable construction.

The Candidate
 

To be considered for this role, a successful applicant is expected to have satisfied the following requirements:

- Bachelor or above in a related field.
- Ideally not less than 5 years experience in a similar role within the industry
- Solid civil knowledge foundation desirably with site management experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in engineering software, e.g. AutoCAD
- High self-motivation and ability to team management
- understanding of safety and health requirements in workplace
