Civil/ Hauler

About the role
Join our team based in Wetherill Park as Civil/ Hauler* Team Member to carry out maintenance and installation of telecommunication equipment. This is a demanding environment which requires you to be physically fit to perform your duties. You must be available (when required) to work overtime, on weekends and travel away from home.

*There is more than one open position open for this role.

What you'll be doing
Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Civil works
• Rod, rope and prove underground conduit network
• Haul internal and external cables through underground infrastructure and buildings as required
• Checking duct capacity and identifying blockages
• Capturing field data and providing feedback to the team leader
• Quality checks on workmanship during and after installation
• Address incidents swifty
• Ensuring all plant, equipment, tools and vehicles are safely maintained in accordance with Ventia's policies

About you
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the telco industry with good working knowledge of telco networks, plan reading and markup skills, and previous rod rope and hauling experience.
You will require:

• Current, drivers' licence
• Current Construction Industry Induction white card

The following would be desirable but not essential:

• Current, LR Light Rigid truck license
• Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling coarse
• Optic fibre winch VOC
• Current senior first aid certificate
• Current enter and work in confined space training
• Current level 2 traffic management implementation coarse
• Work safety at heights
• Asbestos awareness certificate
