Our client is an established local organisation who are seeking Civil Labourers to carry out a hands-on role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of civil maintenance and construction activities.
Your new role
Your new role will likely include, but is not limited to:• Concreting• Kerb and channelling• Stormwater drainage• Roads• Roadside assets• Bridges• Foreshores and reserves• Removal and disposal of debris• Operate and maintain machinery & equipment as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
What you'll need to succeed
• General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – White Card.• Current “C” class driver’s Licence.• Physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member of a high-performing team.• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and work programs to complete tasks within a set timeframe.Desirable requirements
• Certificate III in Civil Construction• Additional plant Licences will be highly regarded• Use mechanical and handheld equipment• Current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence and demonstrated experience and ability to operate and undertake general maintenance of trucks, relevant civil construction and machinery.• Experience and knowledge of delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of plant for civil maintenance and construction tasks• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills along with the ability to provide on-the-job coaching.
