MK Plumbing & Civil is a hydraulic plumbing and civil construction business based in Kilsyth, in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. We undertake a wide range of commercial projects including:
- Retail
- Education
- Sports Field Construction
- Refurbishments & New Builds
These projects and located throughout metropolitan Melbourne. Our clients are generally either commercial builders or councils.
Our plumbing scope of works on these projects typically involves:
- Major civil stormwater drainage packages
- Stormwater retention systems
- Sewer & trade waste drainage
- Reticulation of gas & water
- Fire hydrants and hose reels
- Fit-off
Our civil scope of works will typically involve:
- Civil drainage
- Excavation
- Pavement demolition
- Subgrade preparation
- Concreting
- Kerbs
- Asphalt
- Retaining Walls
About the position:
We are looking for civil construction operators and labourers to be based on site. The successful candidate will be an experienced, competent and confident worker. They will communicate directly with a supervisor on site along with the company directors to discuss the task at hand, site progress and programme, and requirements, safety, quality, documentation and any other matters.
You will have the support and backing of the two company directors, who are actively involved in day to day operations of the business and will be on site periodically and as required to help and work with you. You will also have a supervisor on site and a team around you. Strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions and and carry out tasks effectively will be highly regarded.
Technical Experience:
Experience/qualification undertaking the following tasks will be favourable:
- Operating excavators, positracks and rollers
- Civil stormwater including pipe, pits and lids/grates
- Laying crushed rock pavement base/sub base
- Concreting
- Stormwater retention systems
- Asphalting
- Earthworks
Skills Required:
The below skills will be required for the job:
- Present well to client, wear company branded attire
- High quality workmanship
- Construction industry white or red card
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions
- Strong work ethic & ability to self motivate
- Flexibility with work hours to work overtime when required
