Retz Civil Pty Ltd are seeking a self-driven and experienced Civil Pipe layer to provide support and leadership to our growing team across Brisbane/Ipswich and Gold Coast areas.

This role presents an opportunity for professional growth within our business and will require a combination of strong initiative and commitment to the role with great opportunity for progression.

The successful applicant will be directly responsible for the following:

• Lay drainage pipes to line, level & grade
• Build & install pits, manholes, headwalls to design
• Water & fire reticulation
• Electrofusion welding
• Ability to set up & use rotating lasers & pipe lasers
• Backfill & compact trenches
• Strive to exceed program targets
• Liaise with management, client representatives and subcontractors
• Comply with Quality, Safety & Environmental requirements
• Ensure trenches are benched, battered or shored as required by ground conditions
• Ensure excavation is carried out to line, level, grade and design trench width 
• Use of power tools – demo saw, drills, compactor
• Have own basic tools
• Manual handling as required

The successful applicants must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• QLD Occupational Plumbing Licence (Highly regarded)
• Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
• Respiratory Fit Test Certification
• Drivers licence and independent transport
• Ability to read and interpret relevant project plans & associated documents
• Ability to work within and motivate a team
• Technological skills
