Join a Council located in Northern Sydney, as a Supervisor - Civil Maintenance. Local Government offers RDO's every fortnight and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. This role will be 38 hours per week with occasional weekend work.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for the coordination and management of work crews to carry out the pre-planning and delivery of civil infrastructure works including roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, both greenfield and brownfield maintenance.
DUTIES.
- Train, develop and motivate staff to ensure team objectives are achieved
- Supervise labour, cost estimates, work programs and risk management
- Schedule materials and upkeep of relevant management plans
- Manage staff and carry out annual staff performance assessments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction, or relevant qualifications
- Previous experience as a Supervisor is preferred
- Significant knowledge of road, footpaths and stormwater maintenance
- Interpersonal and great communication skills to communicate effectively and lead your team
