About the Role
We are seeking professional cleaners with a high attention to detail to join our team to carry out general cleaning duties at the Civic Centre and other Council buildings. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning office areas, kitchen facilities, toilet facilities, stairs, furniture, glass windows and public areas in the building. You may also be called upon to assist with the moving of furniture and equipment.
We have full time (temporary up to 9 months) and part time positions available, various flexible hours available, working Monday to Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend work.
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualification in cleaning operations or related area
Previous experience in office cleaning, commercial buildings and facilities
Experience in the use of specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals
Demonstrated knowledge and application of Work Health and Safety principles and practices relevant to the duties and responsibilities of a Cleaner
High attention to detail
Ability to work without supervision
Ability to work well within a team
Demonstrated ability to work within timeframes to achieve established performance standards
Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $26.97 - $31.22 per hour (plus 11% Superannuation plus an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award will negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
