Essential:
- A Current NDIS Check
- A caring, motivated and efficient person with a genuine interest in providing a clean, safe environment for elderly people.
- Flexibility to pick up extra shifts as needed
- Ability to work within specific time parameters
- Education – Secondary School Level (at least year 10)
- Up to date Flu and Covid vaccinations
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental, housekeeping / cleaning standards required for Aged care and Acute Facilities
- Willingness to work within and understand the requirements for Accreditation for Aged Care Standards and ACHS.
- Provide cleaning/laundry services according to established cleaning schedules.
- Safe storage and use of cleaning agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Contribute to a safe environment when undertaking duties ensuring equipment is not obscuring exits and passageways.
- Ensure that all containers and products used are correctly labelled and easily identifiable with the relevant chemical data.
- Utilise resources in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Adhere to infection control guidelines according to Yackandandah Health policy and procedures, Department of Human Services (DHS) guidelines and Australian Standards.
