(HEO7) $95,017 to $106,270 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Continuing position available immediately.

The Client Computing Specialist provides Level 3 support, manages printing, the ADAPT environment and the Standard Operating Environments.

The End User Computing team is responsible for the operations, strategy and lifecycle management of end user computing services and platforms across the University providing Level 2 and 3 desktop support.

Working under limited direction with a high degree of autonomy, the Client Computing Specialist provides high technical specialist skills across the end user support functions by delivering, maintaining and supporting cross-platform end user solutions for staff, students and affiliates.

This role provides an opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies managing End User devices Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux.  It will also have a focus on keeping up to date with IT trends in End User Computing across a range of operating systems and devices as part of projects and operational activities.

To be successful you will need:

  • High level knowledge of the IT end user computing Enterprise environment and the relationships/connections.
  • Demonstrated experience in desktop infrastructure support including the ability to work with and understand a broad range of technology in a large environment.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining desktop Standard Operating Environment software and packages across multiple platforms.
  • Experience solving complex technical issues in a large, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including proven ability to work within a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
