Primary Objectives

The Client Contact Officer will receive, assess and respond to phone and electronic enquiries and provide a range of supports and services to new and existing CatholicCare customers. The primary objective of this role includes:

  • Provide a high-quality customer centred service in a prompt and effective manner;
  • Respond to enquiries or connect enquiries to the relevant role/team within the organisation as appropriate;
  • Book, reschedule and cancel services/supports; and
  • Provide and recommend information about CatholicCare services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service/support or call centre role
  • Previous experience in the aged care and community sector (desirable)

Core Competencies

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced work environment.
  • Sound computer skills including the use of software packages and database applications.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills to identify options to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems while maintaining customer engagement on the phone.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to, and work as part of, a dynamic team.

Other Requirements

  • Availability to work between the hours of 6:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.

All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
