- Salary based on experience, range: $59.877 - $75,668 plus super
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role:
You will be responsible for pursuing outstanding debts owed to Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) and negotiate payment arrangements according to VLA policy. You will also manage the release of financial and practical securities through negotiations with recipients of legal assistance as well as conduct title searches, process documents, and manage electronic property settlements. Additionally, you will provide concise information for decision-making and give guidance on Client Contributions while Improving customer experience and supporting the Legal Practice Directorate's work.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in debt recovery and administration, specifically dealing with clients over the telephone.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in conveyancing procedures and transactions including mortgages, caveats and transfers.
- General accounting skills and experience in creditor administration, payments and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with people across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
