Additional information can be found at: www.chubb.com.Your Role:We are looking for an experienced Underwriter, who will be required to form a key part of Chubb's Climate Tech Team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for growth of the Portfolio with key Brokers and Clients, whilst maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts.Your Responsibilities:Underwriting
  • Underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, with a focus on generating New Business pipeline and growing the portfolio
  • Provide technical leadership for other underwriters including risk referrals and serving as a resource regarding unique exposure and coverage needs
  • Providing mentoring and training to line of business underwriters new to Climate Tech business
  • Provide excellent service to Key Accounts within Climate Tech Industry Practice
  • Help build Chubb brand in the marketplace. Represent and promote Chubb with clients and brokers, and build strong relationships with key brokers
  • Participate in cross-sell initiatives within P&C to expand climate knowledge and product offerings to current and prospective clients
  • Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business, peer review and compliance & operational process
Planning
  • Contribute towards creation and management of a Climate Tech business plan which drives us towards meeting or exceed financial goals including rate, growth, profit, retention, and new business
  • Contribute towards develop of products within the Climate Tech practice
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with line of business underwriting teams, COG Climate team, Chubb risk engineers and other stakeholders
Technical
  • Work in tandem with Risk Engineering to adapt to innovation trends and identify critical risk factors
  • Build underwriting acumen in Climate Tech sectors
Qualifications:
  • An experienced professional who is recognised for their specialist knowledge
  • Results driven with the ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative
  • Collaborative approach, with strong influencing skills
  • Strong sales, marketing, and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of building business relationships with brokers and clients
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability in complex account analysis, prioritisation, organisation and detail orientation
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment using multiple internal and external resources appropriately, effectively, and efficiently
  • Strong desire to improve knowledge and skill set
  • Professional Indemnity and/or General Liability underwriting experience preferred
