SalaryAn opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Clinical Midwife Specialist to join the supportive and expert Birth Suit team at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a full-time permanent position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinical Midwife Specialist, you will continue providing patients with specialised and dedicated care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient's individual needs. You will report to the Midwifery Unit Manager and work alongside a supportive team of nurses, medical professionals, and clinical support staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Recent Midwifery experience;
- Strong organisational skills;
- Demonstrated risk management and OH&S;
- Ability to review and implement continuous improvement programs;
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster;
- At least 4 years of post-registration experience;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues;
- High-level written and verbal communication;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
- Understanding of the scope of practice;
- Ability to manage a designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects.

$49.55 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in Sydney's North Shore, is an acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and obstetric services. The newly renovated maternity unit consists of 40 beds and 7 birth suites.
