Clinical Nurse Consultant (504739) - Launceston Community Nursing Service

The role:

Within a primary health service delivery framework and in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the Clinical Nurse Consultant will:

• Provide professional advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the provision of quality nursing and support services to Community Nursing clients.
• Proactively direct, lead and participate in the development of an education and research culture through developing, implementing and evaluating clinical practice standards, including monitoring clinical competences of the health care team.
• Implement evidence based practices through teaching, research, and policy and protocol development and through direct example within the practice setting.

Launceston Community Nursing Service

• Has a rare clinical management opportunity and is looking for a positive and proactive person with excellent problem-solving abilities to join our team
• Our team is a dynamic service, which provides care to approximately 400 clients per month in the Launceston community
• Predominantly workload for clinical staff involves palliative, wound and continence care along with various other presentations

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 8 April 2024

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

2. Current Driver’s Licence

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
