The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise, education and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of infection prevention and control to staff and patients within Community and Oral Health services and across the organisation supporting the application of best practice, leadership and portfolio management to ensure safe practice and high-quality outcomes. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) works in collaboration with the wider health care team (including other Infection Control Practitioners within MSH) in the provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of infection prevention and control.
