About Us

The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network encompasses the Yorke Peninsula, significant areas of the Mid North and Spencer Gulf, Southern Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley. Its major urban centres are Port Pirie, Clare, Burra, Peterborough, Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo.

Port Pirie Regional Health Service is the largest hospital in the region, providing emergency, acute inpatient, specialist surgical, maternal, neonatal, renal dialysis and outpatient services.

Internationally renowned for its premium wines, gourmet food and breathtaking scenery, the Clare Valley, only two hours north of Adelaide, is a gorgeous tourist hub in the Mid North of South Australia. Uniquely nestled between prime grazing country and rolling hills, the Clare Valley is a charming string of wineries, hamlets, and pristine farmlands steeped in history and home to some of Australia’s best-known vignerons.

The largest health service for this region is based in Clare, with outreach provided to Burra, Snowtown, Balaklava and Riverton (max 40min drive from Clare).

A career in the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network offers many great lifestyle benefits, including diverse job prospects and the opportunity to fast track your skills and career, not to mention your choice of scenery from farm, ocean, vineyards and the Southern Flinders ranges. View the below videos for more information about working for Yorke and Northern Local Health Network
