About the Role
A great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a background in Mental Health to join the Precept / NaMES team on an ongoing full time basis working across the Mental Health Program. Collaborating with the Precept / NaMES team, you will research, develop and present contemporary education across the Mental Health Program that promotes best practice standards in clinical Mental Health care. Working both independently and across the broader Mental Health Program, you will provide clinical education support to nurses whilst demonstrating and promoting best practice standards. You thrive on a challenge that comes from working to deliver new and innovative education strategies, knowing you are well supported by the leadership in the team and within the program. In addition, you will:
- Support contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
- Provide clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert
- Demonstrate and promote expertise and best practice standards
- Help to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care within Monash Health
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrate agility and work as a change agent
What you bring:
You are a Clinical Nurse Educator looking for your next role or;
- You are a Registered Nurse with a background in Mental Health who is ready expand their career and work as an Clinical Nurse Educator
- Either way, you will hold a Postgraduate Diploma specialising in Mental Health nursing
- You can demonstrate a sound understanding of Mental Health clinical assessment and practice
- An understanding of different learning and teaching styles
- You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Your proven leadership qualities with a passion for education
