Exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region.
The new state of the art facility will include:
- more operating theatres and recovery spaces
- expanded emergency department
- enhanced medical, surgical, and mental health services
- enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics
- new interventional cardiology service
- new radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service.
Employment will commence at The Tweed Hospital in preparation for the transition to Tweed Valley Hospital (TVH), which will open to patients on 14 May 2024.
In this role you are required to provide expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff, other health professionals and patients after hours across wards within facility/service, working closely with the After-Hours Nurse Manager (AHNM), in supporting the delivery of safe clinical care and addressing identified clinical care issues. The CRRN provides clinical assistance to staff and through demonstrated practice and coaching enables the development of skills and knowledge, particularly amongst novice and advanced beginner nurses and other health professionals as necessary.
If you have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and at least 3 years’ full time equivalent clinical experience in a critical care field; with a post graduate qualification in a critical care specialty or other specialty as deemed appropriate by the panel
- Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care
- Ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes
