About the role
Northern NSW Local Health District has an exciting opportunity for a male Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer to commence at the new, state of the art Tweed Valley Hospital. The Tweed Valley Hospital represents one of the largest regional capital health investments funded entirely by the NSW Government and will include expanded operating theatres, emergency department, medical and surgical services, GEM, new interventional cardiology and radiotherapy services, comprehensive cancer care as well as enhanced ambulatory care services. The AHLO will be an integral member of The Tweed Valley Hospital multidisciplinary team. This role provides a key role in advocacy, education, and support for both patients and family and may act as an intermediary between patients and other healthcare staff.
