Systems Engineer | Healthcare | 12 month FTC | Brisbane, QLDMy client is a leading healthcare provider in Australia, seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to join their team in Brisbane, QLD for a 12-month fixed term contract.The RoleIn this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their healthcare IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on Health Level 7 (HL7) interfaces and virtualized (VMware) infrastructure and environments. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, integration, and ongoing support of their IT systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance to deliver high-quality patient care.Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain HL7 interfaces to ensure efficient data exchange between healthcare information systems.
- Manage and support VMware virtual infrastructure, including troubleshooting issues and optimising performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform system integrations to ensure seamless communication and data flow between various healthcare applications.
- Participate in system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor system health, identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and implement timely resolutions.
- Document technical processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain best practices.
- Adhere to strict data security and privacy protocols within the healthcare industry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar IT role.
- Proven experience in healthcare IT systems, preferably with HL7 interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere and virtual infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with system integration tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and IT teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging healthcare IT trends.
