The Role

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) is to provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy assistants, Occupational Therapists Occupational Therapy assistants and Social Worker whilst providing mentoring to ensure the team is providing excellent clinical care and service delivery to ensure clients goals of care and clinical outcomes are constantly achieved.

In addition, CTL supports the Operations Manager Clinical and Care in the operations and delivery of the Home Care services through effective and influential leadership, relationship building and communication. Ensuring continuous improvement and simplification of processes.

  • Provide management and leadership to a team of clinician’s team management including appraisals, training and team planning.  Provide and facilitate appropriate levels of coaching, mentoring, and counselling for team members to ensure their career and professional development. Whilst ensure compliance Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • To ensure quality clinical services are provided to Home Care clients, meeting all legislative requirements.
  • Ensure clinical staff have a sound understanding of the Amana Living Clinical Governance Framework and Clinical Policies and Procedures, Home Care and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Monitor the progression of team and staff members’ individual objectives, addressing any issues to ensure achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and inspire staff and teams in their performance.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager Clinical and Care to support the provision of excellent clinical care.
  • Contribute to an environment of continuous innovation, always looking for a better and more efficient way to deliver.
  • Effectively facilitates meetings and other forums as required for communication, information sharing and planning purposes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Flu Vaccination & Covid Vaccination per Amana Living Polices
  • Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
  • Successful completion of pre-medical form and reference checks
  • Successful completion of the key physical requirements assessment
  • Current Class C drivers’ licence

About you

You would have clinical experience within the community or similar environment. Ideally, you would have experience in the delivery of care within a Home Care environment. Demonstrate good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This role requires traveling within the metro area. Please note: Registered Nurse would be a preference for this role.
