About this role

We are looking for someone to join the Medical OncologyClinical Trials team. The Medical Oncology Department provides a comprehensive consultative and management service in cancer medicine to the Western Australian community including:

  • Provision of inpatient, day care and outpatient consultative and treatment services for adult cancers.
  • Multidisciplinary clinics in breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancers and gynaecological cancers amongst others.
  • Participation in National and International controlled Clinical Trials to evaluate strategies of cancers.

As an entry level position, this is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the set-up and implementation of clinical studies. Working within a small team you will both support senior colleagues and have independent tasks. The Clinical Trial Assistant role involves scheduling and conducting patient visits, collecting source data, maintaining patient records, entering data into electronic platforms and liaising with trial stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance to the study protocol and relevant Good Clinical Practice regulations.

This role reports to the Clinical Trials Manager and is based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
