One of Australia's progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Cloud Engineer to join their Clout transformation project. The role will be based in Canberra with the successful Cloud Engineer being offered a 6 month contract with a 1 year of extension.
The successful Cloud Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to.
- Development and implementation of the departments solution centric Azure capability including Azure Policy, Azure app services, Azure SQL Databases
- Ensuring designs and implementation meet governance and security requirements
- Ensuring cloud solutions align to better practice and WOG cyber security overlay and compliance with the Essential 8Planning
- Development of Infrastructure as Code artifacts for automating Azure infrastructure
The successful Cloud Engineer will have experience in the following:
- Knowledge and experience in delivering \'as a service\' capabilities using Azure technologies
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing on-premises and \'as a service\' Capabilities
- Ability to provide engineering guidance and leadership within one or more technology domains
- Experience in migration of SQL Server to SQL MI or Azure SQL
