SalaryCloud Engineering Lead - Microsoft Cloud Technologies
QIC is now looking for a highly experienced Cloud Engineering Lead. This is a fantastic new opportunity within our business as you will be providing, managing, and supporting QIC's technology services.
The role will report into the Cloud Engineering Manager, and you will be helping to support and define the strategy and roadmap which will include designing, and developing the technology architecture, selection and deployment of technology services, as well as ongoing management, support and delivery of programs of work within the QIC Technology services space.
As the Cloud Engineering lead, you will:
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of assigned technology initiatives which will incorporate input into the technology landscape, strategy and budgeting.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge into QIC projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate in defining the strategy and roadmap of technology services for QIC.
- Collaborate in designing and developing QIC's technology architecture.
- Selection, purchase and deployment of technology equipment and services.
- Ongoing management and support of QIC's technology services to maintain high levels of availability, performance, capacity, security and disaster recoverability.
- Provision of advice on technology requirements and directions.
- Provision of technology services for QIC projects and provide extensive knowledge and expertise into the direction and allocation of resource on projects.
- Degree in Information Technology (or similar) or recognized qualifications in Information Technology would be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SOE Windows, Microsoft Cloud technologies, including:
- M365
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS)
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bicep
- Modern SOE deployment using Intune, including autopilot, app packaging & policy configuration.
- LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networking. Experience in Fortinet and Meraki preferred.
- Voice and video conferencing
- Mobile device management
- Technical security methods (Firewalls, Antivirus, SIEM, WAFs, DLP, Host Intrusion Protection)
- Windows Server & Windows 11
- Vast experience leading technology initiatives in design, costing and implementation in a highly mission critical business environment (Essential). Experience in Financial Services would be highly regarded.
- Exceptional proven experience providing advanced expertise into the design of technology architectures.
- advanced technology support and problem-solving implementation in a highly mission critical business environment.
- Ability to research and understand various technologies and match these to IT strategies.
- Implementation and design of Cloud Services especially in an 'as-a-Service' (IaaS/PaaS) environment (Highly regarded).
- Implementation and design of Windows SOE (Highly Desirable)
- Design of IT services to globally dispersed offices (Highly Desirable
