Linktree's platform has grown significantly as Linktree has become a global brand, presenting unique security challenges. We're looking for our first Cloud Security Engineer to contribute to and execute our Cloud Security strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Security, and working closely with wider engineering, this role provides an opportunity to shape Cloud Security at a fast growing tech unicorn. To succeed, you'll need to be familiar with Cloud Security and development, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders.
What You'll Own
Driving and contributing to our Cloud Security improvements, alongside our platforms and security team
Be a source of knowledge, and a decision-making driver, for Cloud Security
Development of Cloud Security controls and tools to improve our security and adapt to our engineering needs
Build and develop reusable infrastructure and service patterns for our product and engineering team, with security in mind
The prevention, analysis and resolution of security issues in our cloud as need arises
Who We're Looking For
2 years experience implementing Cloud Security on AWS, or equivalent
Written and reviewed backend code in web apps or services over the course of your career
A drive to collaborate and negotiate with other engineers
An ability to take a contextual risk-based approach to prioritisation and planning
Comfortable with at least one programming language, application framework and runtime environment for day-to-day development. (Experience with Typescript and Node is a plus!)
Used to working with modern CI/CD tools like Github, Buildkite, Docker, Terraform/CDK
Proven ability to make and communicate technical and security trade-offs

Where and How We Work
We are a global and diverse group offering a truly flexible and family friendly work environment. Kids, pets, and the occasional delivery person are all actively encouraged to appear on our Zoom screens. All of us at Linktree work either fully remote or a hybrid "remote, but in-office sometimes" approach.
We currently have offices in Melbourne, Sydney and LA, but our team is spread across Australia, United States, and New Zealand. As our team approaches 200 people, our company will be 10x the size we were in 2020.
We offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your days and weeks. There will be the need for some collaboration outside of a "normal" 9-5 being a global company, but we aim to work asynchronously where possible.
